Welcome to a new school year, Bearkittens! My name is Laura Brock and I am excited to serve with this great team at Bossier Elementary as your counselor! My goal as a counselor is to get to know each student during the school year and also work with families as needed so that each student can reach their fullest potential for this 2024-2025 school year. I will also be working closely with staff and teachers in order to make sure each child is academically and emotionally successful this school year.

I have been married to my husband, Evan, for 14 years now and we have two children, Abigail who is 13 years old, and Wyatt who is 9 years old. I started my career in the counseling field 18 years ago. I went to Centenary College to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and then continued on to Louisiana State University-Shreveport to get a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with an added on certification for school counseling. This will be my third year at Bossier Elementary and I am excited to see what the future holds at Bossier El!
